BWC back on top ... and the universe makes sense again.
How does SSAC & ND stay rated so high? SSAC was the only top team to lose 2 game and ND barely beat Med Hat who got crushed by PoE.
Wow, how elitist of you 829am. It's not as if you steamrolled your opponents in the Hat. Like I said, the series is tied at one. Go Bisons
#givecredit
Royals fan here. They just beat OHA, Sherwood Park, Wpg Monarchs to win tournament.Have beat other top teams including Bisons/NE.Still just honorable mention? Ouch! What havent they done that OHA has?
1057 - The Royals in league play, are weak and will remain weak. Just saying. Comparing one offs against other one offs is faulty logic. Stick to the standings, number of goals, number of goals against. Other than one player, and one goaltender, the Royals have upside, but not what you think they deserve.
Royals have have ability to beat top teams but losses to Leth, Flames, SE, Monarchs show they are inconsistant. Also they have not played any top ten teams outside Calgary.
11:20 - They havent played any top ten teams outside calgary???
Hmmmm...Bisons, OHA, Sherwood Park. 3 of them. Have beat those 3. Not saying this Royals team is elite, because they arent, but the certainly can compete with teams there.
Royals are average.
SSAC should have won against BWC out played them, out shot them. Puck was controlled in BWC zone alot more then the SSAC zone. But that's why we play. Too bad they did not place the teams accordingly, but we lost and we all move on from their. Good hockey see you all in St Albert. Also one note , I did not see much or if any dirty hits, cheap shots for the most part very clean hockey. Congratulations to Medicine Hat for all your hard work and good Refs.
If these tournaments were replayed in a weeks time the results would end up being very different. Congrats to the teams that came out on top but lets remember for every win there is a loss and history will replay itself. Short memories and big sponsorships only go so far. Important wins by one goal say a lot just like back in Chilliwack Oct 8th when BWC lost an important game by a goal or when POE lost two important games back to back by 6 goals combined.
Pat Blues are very well coached team! Look for them to boost up in rankings soon
Royal only beat Sherwood Park in a shootout by one goal...goalie played well. Sherwood park lost four players in this tournament due to injury so by the time they played Royals they were pretty banged up. I would agree the royals capitalized on opportunity and got some pretty favorable calls from the refs

"... the series is tied at one" What series??
You beat us in RR and won the game. We beat you in the final and won the Championship.
1057 The Royals are a team that has balance across the board. For the record they have more than "one player" and they have two very strong goalies. On top of that, they have the best coaching staff in the AMBHL.
The royals were also down 3 players to Sherwood park and held Sam steel to 1 assist and no goals? if they only have 1 player and a goalie shouldn't they have lost the tourney? They D held OHA to 17 shots and yet you claim they have no players. just because your kids lost doesn't mean you can go putting down a solid royals team, sure they lost a few games but that doesn't make them bad? They beat some really good teams so they must be doing something right? The refs gave the royals 2, 4 minute penalties and they didn't capitalize on either. Maybe you should go look at your kids team because I think Sherwood park is the average one here. (just a scouts point of view for all those who think I'm an angry dad)
Pat Blues are AA. Dont compare to AAA teams your AA teams were torched in Med Hat badly in a weaker pool. Regina tourny was irrelevant except for a handful of players.
Sorry I thought POE got beat bad I must have read the score wrong my apoligies.
SERIES???
a number of games, contests, or sporting events, with the same participants,
I think it qualifies.
How are the Calgary Northstar's not in the top 10
hey 3.25 if you think our aa were torched what about the aaa that were also torched i think i remember a score of 11-0 and so on for a few other clubs that also lost so for us being aa i think our teams competed as well as a few other aaa teams

No, it doesn't qualify as a "series". There's nothing at stake in the cumulative results.
A team can win an individual game, which is what your boys did. OR a team can win a Championship, which is what our boys did.
It's obvious which "win" was more important. Don't try to make them equal.
Does WEHP have a top scorers list for the entire tournament?
@ 3:25pm...a scout wouldn't write that. Just saying..."angry dad". Who you trying to kid?????
I agree with Sask standings dead on. Pat Blues are top in south but south is so much weaker then north teams overall, not sure who they would surplant(not sure if thats a word) in top group. They are very well coached and a good group of smaller skaters.
Great entertainment listening to over-zealous parents living vicariously thru their children. Both MH and Calgary showcased the fact that there are some very good players and excellent teams throughout Western Canada. There were many upsets and lots of close games which tells me the competition was great and there are many evenly matched top teams where any team can win on a given day. I was in Calgary and it was a well run tourney in a great facility with good competition. How bout we stop the parental squabbling, enjoy the hockey and the talent level out their and support our kids to be the best that they can be. After all, they are only 14. Cheers!

That team that lost 11-0 also took Notre Dame AAA to Overtime..
Interesting how Semi, Langley and Abby are now not even honourable mentions. Guess they entered the real world. Welcome back to reality. Come play with the ordinary kids again.
When the royals beat Sherwood park they were without mckenzie, Biro, and Paradis

Let the kids play hockey - only early into the season - if I remember Cloverdale never got invited to Med Hat tournament but ended the season on a roll and 1 game from going to Provincals -
The Regina Pat Blues are well coached. However, they were out coached by the Prairie Storm in the Graham Tuer Challenge final and in league play.

You are very much Correct.

"Great entertainment listening to over-zealous parents living vicariously thru their children."
Yes but that same thing applies to some coaches too. Give us parents a break and treat our kids like they are more than commodities. You aren't all great coaches either!
My kids had some really bad ones.

"My kids had some really bad ones."
I am a parent, just like you. Perhaps if you spent more time supporting your kid instead of blameing his past and present coaches, he would be further ahead. Cheers from November 20, 2012 8:45 AM!
