Dallas Saunders Memorial Tournament
The Kelowna Jr. Rockets will meet the Langley Eagles in the tournament final this afternoon. The Jr. Rockets were able to sneak by the Abbotsford Hawks 3-2. The Jr. Rockets were very stingy throughout the tournament, keeping things tight checking and very simple. The Langley Eagles on the other hand will bring a more up tempo, offensive style. Kelowna will have to watch for Malm and Gingras today along with Cholowski and his offensive ability from the backend. It should be a good final this afternoon and congratulations to both teams.
In the Bronze medal game, it will be Abbotsford vs. Coquitlam this morning at 10:00AM PDT.
Swift Current Kabos Raiders Tournament
It will be the Okotoks Oilers against the Calgary Edge in the final of the Kabos Raiders "AA" Tournament today. The Oilers were able to hold down the high-flying line of Nagel, Lind, Carey in a 2-1 Double OT Shoot-out. While the Calgary Edge capped off a great tournament with a 5-2 victory over the Regina Pat Blues. The game between the Edge and Pat Blues was tied at 2-2 until midway through the 3rd period when the Edge struck for 2 quick goals in a span of 2 minutes on goals from Jake Bean and game MVP Liam Peterson. Then with under a minute to play, American born Logan Hand added one in to an EN for the win.

Red Deer White 4 - Lethbridge 2
The Rebels White end a 6 game winless streak and move to 4-10-1 after doubling up Lethbridge on Saturday afternoon. They still remain 3 points back of the Airdrie Xtreme for the 4th and final playoff spot in the Ram South. Lethbridge with the loss, drop to 8-7-1 and sit in 2nd place, 3 points back of Southeast. The Rebels White got goals from 4 different players which included Tyler Steenbergen going 1-1-2. He leads the team with 16 goals and 27 points in 14 games. Lethbridge got singles from Jarome and Horvath. Horvath has a team leading 13 goals in 16 games now.
Edmonton MLAC 4 - Sherwood Park 1
The short-handed Sherwood Park Flyers drop their 2nd straight game this weekend, this time to MLAC 4-1. The Flyers were without perhaps their top dman in Colin Paradis along with key forwards Skyler Mckenzie and Keenan Roszko. The Flyers are inching ever closer to the .500 mark as they fall to 6-4-4 and sit 6 points back of MLAC and 13 back of SSAC. The MLAC squad are now 10-3-2. Scoring the lone goal for Sherwood Park was top 5 overall rated Sam Steel with his 23rd goal in 12 games. Steel has 42 points this season, putting him on pace for nearly 120 points. MLAC got at hat-trick from captain Nolan Volcan who now has 21 goals in 15 games. The line of Jevne, Volcan and Readman combined for 9 more points. Hunter Lorenson turned aside 30/31 shots. Lorenson has a .926 save percentage this year.
Calgary Royals 4 - Southeast 2
The Royals remain hot after winning the Calgary NWCAA Tournament last weekend with a 4-2 win over Southeast. The Royals are now 9-4-1 and sit just 6 points back of division leading Calgary Bisons. Southeast drops to 10-7-0 but still lead the Ram South. The Royals in this one got goals from four different players, including Sean Montgomery's team leading 11th goal of the season in his 14th game. Kayden Pickles was very strong in goal for Southeast, turning aside 49/53 shots he faced in the game. Pickles is putting together a very solid season, despite facing a lot of rubber this season. Adam Marcoux stopped 27/29 for the Royals. Marcoux has a sparkling .933 save percentage this season for the Royals.
Calgary Northstar Sabres 3 - Airdrie Xtreme 2
The Sabres move to 10-2-1 and sit just 4 points back of the division leading Bisons with a game in hand. The Sabres continue to play stingy hockey, having allowed just 27 goals in 13 league games. A lot of that credit has to be given to 5'8 goalie Logan Drackett who is having an outstanding season for the Sabres. In this game, Parker Aucoin scored twice, giving him a team leading 18 goals and 26 points in 14 games. Josh Logel, who also scored in this one, is 2nd on the team with 8 goals. The Xtreme got singles from Jordan McConnell and Andrew Fyten. McConnell and Fyten are 1-2 in the team goal scoring race with 10 and 7 respectively.
Lloydminster Heat 7 - Grand Prairie Storm 3
The Heat improve to 12-1-3 and now are just 2 points back of league leading SSAC. SSAC just have a game in hand on the Heat and remain undefeated at 14-0-1. Grand Prairie drop to 2-14-1 this season and are just 6 points back of Fort Saskatchewan for the 4th and final playoff spot in the Charger North. The Heat were led in the game by Cole Johnson who scored twice, giving him a team leading 23 goals in 16 games. Johnson was very impressive in Medicine Hat, combining grit, hitting and scoring. Mason Shaw, who is 2nd in the AMBHL scoring race picked up 1-4-5. Shaw now has 12-33-45 points in 15 games and is looking to make a run at a 100 point season. Star defenseman and top 2 overall ranked for the bantam draft - Kale Clauge added 1-2-3, giving him a league defenseman leading 12-24-36 in 16 games. The shots were 55-23 in favour of Lloydminster. The two teams will meet again today.

Battlefords Barons 7 - Humboldt Broncos 4 (Friday result)
The Barons improve to 5-5-0 while the Broncos fall to 1-8-0. Battlefords team scoring leader Brandon Lesko led the way for the Barons with 2-2-4, he now has 11-13-24 in just 10 games. Lesko is 5th in league scoring, just 5 points back of league leader Drew Warkentine. Jayden Nachtagaele had 1-3-4 and Josh Sielsky scored a hat-trick and now has 7 goals. Humboldt got a pair of goals from Regan Poncelet, he has 4 goals now. Humboldt held a 36-30 shots advantage.
Estevan Bruins 6 - Melville Millionaires 1
Estevan Bruins are now 4-8-0 wile the Millionaires drop to 3-3-1. The Millionaires were without top player D - Dawson Davidson in this one. The Bruins were led by Kyle Sargent and Joshua Skjonsby who each had 2 goals. Paul Jewhurst scored his team leading 9th of the season for Melville.
West Central Wheat Kings 11 - Humboldt Broncos 1
The Wheat Kings are now a league leading 11-1-1 and the Broncos are a league worst 1-9-0. Team scoring leader and top 2 round ranked Kolby Johnson led the way offensively for the Wheat Kings with 4 assists. Johnson now has 21 points in 13 games. Garrett Pilon had 1-2-3 and has 18 points. Dylan George and Tylo Anderson scored 2 goals each, Tylo Anderson played just his 2nd game of the season. Shane Sherban scored his 5th goal in as many games for the Broncos since returning from injury.
