Lloyd ssac series could've went either way
Cloverdale by 2 touchdowns over VRC opening day....
Won't matter no one will beat Cloverdale at Westerns
Melville beat Weyburn 3-1 today. As a Weyburn parent, would like to congratuate the Millionaires and commend them for the passion and work ethic they showed. Like Weyburn, Melville is a small centre that has a small number of players show up to try out. With that, both teams did very well. Melville has some good players, but it was a team effort that beat us. All the best to you guys. We don't necessarily put you on our Christmas card list, but your effort demands our respect. Safe hockey to all teams and wheoever goes to Westerns needs to find a way.
The Prairie Storm are the #1 SEEDED team in Saskatchewan and now play Melville Millionaires who beat out the #2 SEED Weyburn Red-Wings.
Good players win you GAMES good teams win you series and championships.
Weyburn,Melville was a great series, 2 evenly matched teams, congrats to Weyburn on a great season, hardest working team in the league. Melville kid Boutin was a stud, out playing our best guy,Nagy, and Little D-man Davidson logged a tonne of minutes, took a pounding, and never slowed down, very impressive. Good luck against the Prairie Storm.
Update on the Winnipeg AAA BAntam 2 Finals. Hawks have jumped out to a 3-0 series lead over the Monarchs. Hawks won game 2 by a score of 8-3 which was highlighted by a 6 point night by Linden McCorrister who had 5 goals and 1 assist, Patrick, Laschiavo, and Barley caped off the scoring for the Hawks. While the coaches gave Kubic the night off and started there backup goaltender. Josh Curtis and the Martin Brother's Dawson And Max scored for the Monarch.
Winnipeg Bantam 2 hawks win gane 3 - 3-1and have taken a 3-0 series lead over the Monarchs in the Winnipeg AAA Bantam 2 finals. All though the Monarchs were able to shut down the scoring of Patrick and McCorrister, the Hawks got scoring from Scholer, Laschiavo and Morris. With another outstanding preformance By the hawks goaltender Kubic, giving up only 1 Goal on 27 shots along with the strong play of the hawks Defencemen. The Monarchs are going to have to dig deep if they want extend there season. Good luck to both Teams. game 4 goes Tuesday night
SSAC - Lloyd series was simply outstanding, Lloyd came back from 2 goals behind in the 3rd period of both games 3 and 4 to force ot. Quennville came out of the penalty box and make a great shot to win the series. I don't think many people are giving the Bisons are shot against SSAC.
Bisons are definately the underdogs...too much fire power for them to handle. I can't see SSAC even losing a game! SSAC was by far the stongest team in Alberta this year and the Bisons were not even the best team in the south. SSAC and Spruce to represent Alberta at westerns!
anyone who questions Dason Davidson's toughness can now put that one to bed. The kid got hit so hard so many times and didn't relent. Nagy got outplayed because he wasn't managed properly by the guy behind the bench. when all said and done two eevenly teams with one coach obliterating the other from behind the bench. thats the cold hard fact.
Who was the best in the south then?
Don't know what you were watching but Nagy and several other players on both Weyburn and Melville are on a totally different playing level than Boutin.....
I was at the game on Sunday night wry burn vs Melville and you can talk to anyone you like, Boutin was the best player on the ice
Have to agree that Nagy was a bit mismanaged by his coach this year. Seen a few other teams too where the coach plays his favorites and some good players suffered. Typical in Bantam AA.
Boutin played a good game but he is one of the fortunate ones on Melville that gets more than his fair share of playing time.
We will see how some of these players do at zones on a more even playing field.
Boutin is a sure 2nd rounder and on Sunday he showed why
Movie night in Weyburn....lights, camera, action. The Prairie Storm brought their media production to film the game #3 Melville Millionaires vs Weyburn Red-wings.
Does the law not state that there must be a consent form signed for recording hockey games that will be viewed or showcased by 3rd parties.
You obvious have not watched the Melville Millionaires and Dawson Davidson toughness night after night. When the Weyburn player came across the rink at maxed throttle speed to hit to hurt Davidson this is 1 of 3 calls by a normal official (charging, boarding, or hit to head) per the so called rule changes. This make of shook him up a little but,I know this kid very well and you now better look out now because he wants to beat you more...and he DID!
It now looks like hits to the head are now LEGAL in Saskatchewan hockey.
Quite a rule change that lasted two months at the start of the season and is now back to the same old lets try and take a 13-15 year old head off vs seperate the puck and gain puck control/s off when possible.
Melville is the best in the south. there depth is emerging down the stretch Koal Roberts and Tyler Krecklewhich make up arguably the best second line in the province and if weyburns defense could not shut down the melville offensive attack i dont know who will. Taypotat was very good in the series. The play of Davidson really shocked me he took many massive hits from nagy, fellner etc.. and still kept on getting up must have played 35+ mins a game in the series i was at all 3 gmaes and can tell you i was very impressed by both teams play look out for many of the players from this series in aaa next year and taken in the draft. Great series congrats to both teams
Hey NHL coach or Mr.Hockey God. Nagy was coached very well this season along with other previous seasons. Rooney has developed several players who are now ready for the next step AAA-AA midget hockey. The development of these you gunners is not in games it is at practice.
AA is a competitive hockey league. Coaches do not play their favorite players, they play their players that get the job done....go watch competitive house or AA-AAA or WHL-NHL hockey.
Zones is realistically a individual showcase tournament. Teams get 4 hours of team development which includes on and off ice.
Teams then go to tournament and usually the team with most skill wins along with strong goal tender. The tourney is fair play like snowflake hockey but with 6 d-man and 12 forwards and coach lets them in and out!
All players will find the transition very tough as they are NOT use to 4 lines nor have ever played with 4 lines all season.
Go Zone Tourney
Prairie Storm is the strongest team in Saskatchewan. Look at their record and stats!

Are you serious? This is a public arena and there is no expectation of privacy when playing hockey.
Time to find something else to complain about!
I didn't think the objective of the game was to get hit? Davidson takes to many bad hits and he's going to get very hurt
Did anyone hear who won game 1 between Sask Valley and North East?

I don't know what you were watching as Fellner came in with one his trade mark shoulder on shoulder hits and destroyed one of many players with their head down. You can't blame the hitter when the puck carrier has his head down and three or four feet from the boards. He is just lucky Fellner didn't catch him with one of his open ice hits. All said it was a great game to watch and Congrats to Mellville and good luck.
How's Lylod doing so far??
VRC will win Westerns!
Jeff Cole coached circles around Rooney.
My bet is on Kamloops to win the BC provincials. With players like Nick Chyzowski and Kevin Davis they may not have the depth that BWC or Cloverdale has but those two, especially Chyzowski, will log serious minutes and if they continue to play the way they've been playing lately Davis should have no problem shutting down Barzal and Chyzowski's great shot is too much for McBride to handle. They are hands down picks to go in the top 2 rounds of this years WHL bantam draft and should be premier stars in the league one day.
Davis -3 and Chyzowski pointless and ...Barzal simply the best player on the ice
