Monarchs win game 7 and advance

Photo - Winnipeg AAA Website

The Winnipeg Monarchs have advanced to the Winnipeg AAA final with a 4-3 OT win against the Winnipeg Hawks this afternoon.  The Monarchs jumped out to a 3-0 series lead before watching the Hawks come back and win 3 straight contests.  In game 7, the Hawks looked like they may have completed the Boston Red Sox like comeback by taking a 3-1 lead in to the 3rd period but the Monarchs scored past the midway part of the 3rd and then tied it with 5 seconds remaining!  The then completed the comeback with a PP OT winner.

The Monarchs will now advance to the Winnipeg AAA finals on Monday at 7:30pm against the Winnipeg Warriors.  The Warriors defeated the Winnipeg Sharks 4 games to 2 in that series.

In regards to your polls over on the right side I would think you should give consideration the 99' dman and forward from Cold Lake, Alberta playing Bantam AA and ripping up the league.

Big game by Keane, and Leipsic. They are playing very well together all series, and all season, with Keane leading the league in points. Keep a good look on these players, as I think they will be going very high in the upcoming draft.
