So did the Flames. The Flames are on fire.

A tradition continues? A tradition continues because BWC recruits players from outside the area....thats why the tradition continues

kids are recruited to all associations,

Langley, Seafair, NSWC, Semi, Cloverdale, Richmond, OHA, POE and on and on ......

don't be bitter because you were sold on the wrong program

blame yourself because someone told you they were going to get your child drafted and give you a chance to parade around on their one of a kind pink elephant

Aint going matter NSWC Winterhawks are cleaning up and lighting everyone up. Off to Coloroda to spank some US teams and tune up for St Albert.

Well put!!! My kid got bumped from an association in the valley where the eagles fly because of recruits that came this year. I have to laugh at the finger pointing to the clubs and how hypocritical some of these comments are. Lets just look into our own association before we throw rocks!!!!
As I inquired more about this issue at other associations, I found out it's rampant in associations everywhere.
2:58 is probably from my association and likes to make stupid comments

PS Yes I'm bitter

Seafair just go in trouble again for players not living where they said they did.

5:02 Have the families of the recruits checked out, I'm sure you will find each and every one "where the Eagles fly" actually live in there. No fake addresses or living with another family as the Clubs do. If a child and his family moves to an association then they have every right to play there. And I am pretty sure the coach didn't do any recruiting.

you live in a growing community.
families actually move to your area. would you propose we not allow new kids whose families live
here legit. from playing AAA hockey
so your son can make the team?

To recruit or not recruit...that is the question.

There's no doubt it's unfair to those organizations who choose not to enter into this activity.

The reality though is that it goes on and complaining about it isn't going to change a thing.

For those who complain that it's an unfair playing field, although correct, either accept that it goes on and live with it, or do what they do and may the best recruiter win!

There is no option because BC Hockey and the guilty associations are not going to police it.

It is what it is, so move on.

"It is, what it is, and move on"...Famous last words. Meanwhile, Cloverdale loses to BWC 23-0. Some people choose to cheat the system, while other adhere to it.

How about a separate league for just the winter clubs, OHA and the POE?. That way, they can tell each other how good they are, instead of everyone else.

If this is the case I will be taking my kid to a strong club next year. He will undoubtably make the team and knock someone out of their spot.
As you say may the best recruiters win!

I shouldn't have to do this though, each area could be stronger if this was not the case.

How's that working out for you in Colorado? Maybe today you can hold a lead, at least briefly, in a game. Guess your last place finish amongst the Canadian teams at the Vancouver Super98 Series wasn't a fluke after all.

Playing on a top flight team is completely over-rated by parents. Does anyone think Nathan McCarnan (just one example) is going to be overlooked by scouts because he plays on a Flight 3 team?
I am NOT saying that every scout thinks highly of him as a prospect, only that any given scout's assessment of him is not going to be changed by him playing on a better team.

NW Calgary Flames rip into the Airdrie Xtreme 8-1 , the flames have now cleaned house on there last 4 opponents. #5 Carter Czaikowski #4 Aaron Hyman, and # 12 Steven Lawerence are probably the best skaters in the league.
