Good Afternoon;
Stats have been updated for all Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba players up to Friday, November 5. THE PCACA doesn't produce specific stats, so if any of you have these or would like them included, please forward. From B.C., we have updated POE, OHA and Kamloops stats.
Rankings
The season is now nearly at the 1/3 mark in most leagues across western Canada. Many tournaments will be taking place in the coming weeks, please refer to the newsletter on page 28 for the complete list of tournaments taking place across western Canada this hockey season. Next weekend, there will be a tournament in Comox, the Tim Jardine tournament in Seafair and the big Regina Bantam AA tournament. Of course over the next two weeks, we will have one of the biggest tournament all season long, taking place in Medicine Hat.
The Medicine Hat tournament will feature 16 of the top teams from around western Canada. We have included an in depth 4 page preview of the tournament on pages 23-27 of the newsletter. Included will be a breakdown of how we think the four pools will shape up. Also, we will look at the top players in each grouping, rookies to watch and who we think will advance to the playoff rounds.
The Rankings have had a huge shake-up over the past few weeks as loads of notes and scouting reports have come in, in all age groups. Shake ups near the top of the rankings and new players added as well.
Interviews
I had a chance to speak with perhaps the most talented Saskatchewan born forward who is scoring goals at a huge rate. He comes from a program who has supplied the WHL with a few first rounders in recent years. We think this player will continue that trend.
We speak with an American born defenseman from a non-hockey market who took his talents to one of the top up and coming hockey programs in the USA. His goal has always been to play in the W.H.L. and teams should take notice.
We speak with another western Canadian born player who has a brother who has previous WHL experience. However, this forward could be one of the elite scorers the WHL will see in a few years time.
Finally, I speak with an Alberta 98 born defenseman who is tearing up the AMBHL defenseman scoring race with a very good hockey program.
News and Notes
The Top 20 power rankings make its third appearance on the newsletter. This time around, we break down why the top 10 are who they are. We also introduce the American Top 10 teams.
Listed are the up coming tournaments this season across western Canada as well.
Also, stay tuned to the blog in the coming weeks for other updates.

Well just watched two awful games by the Bisons this week end. Horrible defense and worse goaltending. This team seems to be trending down.
where do you forward stats to?
There is no email address to forward
The west central wheatkings are also a very good team there first line with Arnold that has 16 pts in 7 games and Bast with 17 pts in 7 games and Stang with 7pts in 7 games very good team

Everyone needs to watch some real hockey to find out what a good team is or isnt. And it certainly isnt West Central.
