Medicine Hat 4 - Calgary Northstar Sabres 4
The anticipated debut of 98 born Jaeger White will have to wait until another day as he was forced to sit out a game due to un-specified reasons, as Medicine Hat opened their AMBHL schedule against the Calgary Northstar Sabres.  The Hockey Hounds had enough hands on deck however to force a tie with the Northstar Sabres at 4.  Adding singles for Medicine Hat were Mitch Hallas, Kas Stolz, Tyler Stuber and 98 born Michael Clarke.  For the Northstar Sabres, Jordan Xavier scored 1-1-2 leading the way.  We expect big things from Jordan this season.  98 born star in the making Parker Aucoin who is ranked in our top 2 rounds for the 2013 WHL bantam draft had 1-1-2 as well.  Another 98 born who will contribute this year on the Northstar Sabres Brayden Dunn also scored.

Airdrie 4 - Red Deer Rebels Black 1
The Xtreme have run their record to 2-0-0 with another stellar defensive performance in winning 4-1.  Head coach Terry Keogh before the season said they would have to score by committee and player to their strengths which is defensive play.  Scoring goals for Airdrie were 98 born Dillon Dube, Austin Cameron, Ryan Barrow and Adamu Tanaka.

Red Deer Rebels White 6 - Okotoks 1
The Red Deer Rebels White have avenged their 4-2 opening day loss to the Calgary Royals by defeating Okotoks 6-1.  It very much looks as though Okotoks is going to lack the depth to score many goals this season.  Red Deer White fired 56 shots on the Okotoks goalie tandem of Jacob Standen and Carter Seminuk.  Seminuk turned aside 38/44 shots before giving way to Jacob Standen who stood his ground (pardon the pun), stopping all 12 shots fired his way.  Leading the way for Red Deer was Brad Makofka who scored 3 times.  Makofka played in the NCMHA with Rimbey last season, finishing 3rd in league scoring with 23-33-56.  Andrew Perry, who is ranked in our top 150 list had 1-2-3 and Chase Olsen also had 1-2-3 in the victory.  The lone goal for Okotoks was scored by Davis Sheldon.

It should be noted that Red Deer Bantam Black's returning D-man Cole Kapak is out injured and expected back at the start of November.
