Why is the tournament rigged? The Wong Division is stacked with 4 contenders. Smith division has only one contender. Marino division has no contenders and Boyd division is arguable. Why are the groups so different in skill level as a team?

This tournament is always done in this format.

Teams are ranked 1-16 and put in order into divisions ranked 1-4. After round robin play is finished the first place team in the first ranked division plays the 4th ranked team in the 4th ranked division. The first round of playoffs ends up being 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14 etc. The round robin games are hopefully competitive games but are only placement games for the playoffs as all 16 teams make playoffs.

It does however look like a pretty weak tournamet this year.

PS the Abbotsford Hawks team is the A2 team.
