BC CUP - Saturday

Here is a few brief thoughts on some of the key players so far at the BC Cup.

The Good
- Virtanen has 5 points and 3 goals but it isn't Jake but Jared Virtanen!  Jake Virtanen has 3-0-3 in 3 games.  Not exactly lighting it up by any means.
- One of our diamonds in the rough at the end of the year Mike Bell D/F leads the tournament in scoring in the early going with 1-5-6.
- Not surprising that Joe Hicketts is showing well and leading all defenseman in scoring currently with 1-4-5 in 4 games.
- A player who has been on a steady climb and someone who was pointed out not only at the KIBIHT but also in our preview of the BC Cup, Spencer Meyer has 4-1-5.
- Carson Bolduc, Spencer Meyer and Brandon Wagner lead so far with 4 goals.  Meyer, Bolduc have done this in just 2 games.
- Peyton Lee has a pair of shutouts so far and proving he is the top goalie in the province once again.  Should be the 2nd goalie selected on May 5th.

The Not so good
-  Cameron Seto has just 1-0-1 in 3 games played thus far.
-  Ryan Gropp is pointless in 2 games played.  This could drop him in the draft.  Will Kamloops take Jordan Thomson if this continues?
-  Dawydiak has just 1 point in the tournament.
-  Dysin Mayo hasn't found the scoresheet yet either.
-  Dombrovskiy and Conner Logan are both pointless in 4 games.

Just for your info:B.C. Hockey website has the wrong info (or not all info) regarding Jake Virtanens goals and points at Kamloops under 16. He has at least 7 goals and also some assists.

BC's hands down, no competition, top forward lighting it up in kamloops 4gms 4pts his cousin has more points.Homegrown 2nd best forward ,in province, 2pts in 4gms.

I personally think a lot of players are over-rated on this board. Going into the BC cup a lot of the "highly talked about players" couldn't or didn't perform at all? This just gooes to show their talent may only lay with their home teams and lines they play with on these teams? Consistency should be consistent shouldn't it no matter where or who u play with?
