AMBHL Season Underway

Red Deer Black 5 - Okotoks Oilers 3
Red Deer Black built up a 4-0 1st period lead and 5-0 lead after the 2nd period of play and hung on for a 5-3 opening game victory.  The Rebels Black got goals from 5 different players which included '99 born Jeremy Klessens, Luke Coleman, Tyrees Goodrunning, Parker Smyth and Matthew Froehlick.     Smyth, Goodrunning and Dewit all had 2 point games.  For Okotoks it was Riley Milford, Owen Guenter and Nash Hartford.

Red Deer White 4 - Airdrie Xtreme 3
1st round WEHP rated prospect Tyler Steenbergen figures in on all four goals with 2 goals and 2 assists, which included the GWG at the midway point of the 3rd to give Red Deer White a season opening victory.  Big, 6'4 D - Matt Krawiec scored for Red Deer as did fellow dman Landon Mackenzie.  Forward Tyler Wall picked up a pair of helpers in the win while Lane Congdon stopped 42/45 shots between the pipes.  The Xtreme got singles from Jordan McConnell, Adam Tisdale and '99 born Gary Haden.  D - Cole Noble added a pair of helpers while goaltender Kurtis Chapman stopped 35/39 shots for Airdrie.

Red deer black foreword luke Coleman in just 9 seconds and knocked an okotoks player out cold the next shift with a hit

they were slow but #5 and 6 on D were solid and Sean Montgomery up front
