Friday round up

Manitoba
In the Winnipeg AAA Bantam League it was the Winnipeg Monarchs coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Interlake 5-4 in a SO. Team scoring leader, Liam Kroeker led the way with a pair of goals, he now has 21 in 25 games which is 11 more than his next closest team-mate Brennan Middaugh who has 10. Chase Foulkner led the way for Interlake with 2 goals, he has 10 goals and a team leading 104 penalty minutes.

The Winnipeg Hawks lost their first regular season game in 25 games played this season, falling 3-2 to the Winnipeg Warriors. Griffin Doell scored 2 times, and Brett Masterson scored the game winner with just over 5 minutes remaining to give the Warriors the big upset win. The Warriors are now 14-9-3. Adam Brooks scored his league leading 43rd and added an assist for the Hawks.

Something that has slipped through the cracks a little was a Bantam AA tournament in Manitoba that took place a little over a month ago, featuring some of the top teams not playing in the Winnipeg league. The Morden Hawks who went undefeated at 5-0-0 during the round robin portion of the tournament ended up beating Interlake 3-2 in the final. Jayce Hawryluk once again tore apart a tournament leading the scoring race with 9-6-15.

Scoring leaders:
Jayce Hawryluk 9-6-15 Russell Rams
Clay Tait 8-3-11 Interlake Lightning
Alex Tetrault 6-5-11 Southwest Jets
Nathan Grenier 6-4-10 Morden Hawks
Scott Gall 5-5-10 Morden Hawks

Goalies:
Hunter Ploszay 1.33 .957 Interlake Lightning
Zac Robidoux 2.26 .906 Morden Hawks

PCAHA Scores:
Abbotsford 3 - Hollyburn 3

Winnipeg hawks loose to the Winnipeg Sharks last night 3-1, its the second time the Sharks have done so against the hawks this season. That 2 losses in a row for the hawks. Has this team peaked to early?? McHolm was in net and played great. sharks played with 2 D down as one was injured and the other had a misconduct during this match up.Hawks did show some frustration at the end with some hits (charging) that were never called. Refereeing was bad for both teams
