It may really help if we knew who these scouts are so we can choose to trust their opinion or not.
All the Junior teams have their scouts names and resumes. Hoping they are not a collection of parents with ulterior motives.

What's with all the haters. This site does a great job ranking players. The proof is in the results on draft day. How many have his players are selected pretty much where he has them ranked. There is of course the occassional player that jumps up based on something a specific WHL team likes, but that happens. Unlike some other regional ranking sites that have rankings based on who pays the most. I hear some of the rankings and have to laugh. I trust that the person he has selected to scout the tournament may even be a WHL scout to begin with.

Well said!

All I can say to the haters - if you dont like WEHP scouts, comments, reports etc, go to the games yourself and scout! nobody put a gun to your head and made you read this blog or buy the newsletters.

Well there you go haters. He has hooked up with ISS for the John Reid Memorial tournament. When will you guys learn that he has no axe to grind with a certain player or players. The guy is providing a service that people enjoy. A friend showed me some rankings for a company in BC that had rankings of BC only players that was laughable at best when I looked at their list going right down to 2003 born players. Their 98 and 99 list was laughable.

Oh I agree with this. That site is without doubt suited for the parents of the younger age groups who yet do not understand that nobody is looking at 2003's. What a money grab. Parents of younger players do not need this yet. The 99 and 98 rankings that they show are very biased towards the group that runs this. Very self serving. Well done WEHP.

Agree also. Just look at the names that appear on 98/99 and you can work out who's running the site. Laughable but also sad that you would have to start up your own site to get your kids name out there. No one is fooled.
