Jaeger White to play for Airdrie

Jaeger White is expected to be a goal scoring force in his rookie year
The decision has been made by the White family and in the end they have chosen to play close to their home in Medicine Hat with the Airdrie Extreme.  White, who set a SCAHL goal scoring record in Peewee last season with 124 goals in 30 games, leading the league by 55 goals over the second place player Dillon Dube who will also join Jaeger with Airdrie.  Jaeger also added 12 goals and 18 points in 5 playoff games tieing the aforementioned Dube atop the SCAHL playoff scoring race.

Jaeger says he is looking forward to being a scoring threat playing along side Ryan Barrow, Tristan Thompson and Dube.  Marshall Burr anchors the blueline for Airdrie.

Jaeger's brother Torrin was a first round draft pick of the Moose Jaw Warriors and also was a big time scoring threat with a AMBHL league leading 47 goals in 28 games in his draft year.

Airdrie could be top team in ambhl?

Wow this is huge news!!

I always thought it was the evaluators who decided who would play on a team. Guess I must be wring if he knows he is on the team already.

The previous comment is very true. I don't think a website columnist picks Bantam AAA team rosters. Evaluators do. Bantam AAA is a huge step from Peewee. Most players that have scored 100 points in Peewee AA league's througout Alberta can expect to score between 20 to 30 points in Bantam AAA for a first year player if their lucky.. This is consistent with many great players ie: Brayden Point, Aaron Kellogg, Nick Merkley etc. The AMBHL is the toughest and most talented Bantam AAA league in probably all of Canada. First year players always under-estimate how difficult it is to play at this level. Good Luck.

I would like to say that young Mr. White is a very talented player, but AA hockey is a step down from AAA hockey.

Hopefully he can still perform like his stats were awwwing everyone in his PeeWee year (AA hockey)

Good Luck, and welcome to the next step in Minor Hockey (bigger, faster, and stronger boys and girls)

it Heads Up Hockey from here on in

I also can't believe that Airdrie can say that he has already made the team. AAA is a huge step from AA he will be playing against bigger kids and won't be able to stand at the blue line waiting for someone to feed him the puck. I will give a big tip of my hat to White he had a wonderful season but I do recall seeing him play first AA and he didn't stand out at all, so he could face the same challenge this year. Like others have said great players like Merkley and Kellogg didn't score tons this past year, it is hard for a first year...Good Luck to White and to Airdrie this coming season

Bantam is a big step up from peewee but white has the whole package. I think this kid will do good in his rookie year 70-80 points are my thoughts ?

Do you Guys really think whites gonna get cut? The kid averaged more points than Gretzky and Crosby at the age I know he won't have another 100 point season but for sure he will play bantam AAA and put up good numbers

Lost years top scorer in the same league White played in was Ryan Barrow. He also tried out for the Airdrie team as a first year. He got cut early in the process and ended up playing AA.

I feel all the hype about White, is sure going to put alot of pressure on the kid. He will not find it as easy in AAA as he did last year. We look back two years ago when Ryan Barrow did lead the league in scoring putting up good numbers, but it went to show at tryouts last year that a one way player has a hard time making AAA as a first year player. Ryan is a perfect example for how things change when it comes to the next level you have to be a two way player to make in this league...Good luck White I hope you can live up to all the hype

I heard jaeger was staying in medicine hat

Barrow put up great numbers in AA!

going to be a long yr , in med hat this yr , they are not very strong

Barrow is way overrated! He's very slight of build and doesn't like the physical stuff. The AA league anywhere outside of the big cities like Calgary or Edmonton are brutal at best. As for White, he has good size and may step into the AMBHL with "whoever", but guys like Thompson or Burr won't keep him from some of the big hitters on the other teams. Heads up Dorothy, those ruby slippers aren't any good in this league!

Laughing at that guy who said med hat wont be good
