im from alberta, so don't bash the Bc parents, but i don't think sefair's tiering record should count because they got 7 easy wins vs. tier 2 teams.

I agree, cloverdale and abbotsford played all tier 1 teams, so it is not really fair.

With a lot of tournaments now complete, who are the top goalies in B.C.

A nice article in the Winnipeg sun about some Manitoba boys.

From what I have seen in PCAHA No 96 goalie has stood out.
I have not seen Rana face more than 10-12 shots so I cannot say on him. Russell, Forbes, Cronier, Bogas have all been everage at best and inconsistent. Much more impressed with the 97 goalies in BWC,NSWC,Mission and Semi.

have to agree. There are some very good, skilled goalies in the PCAHA, but their problem is consistency as most of them bring their "A" game 50-70 percent of the time. Maniel Rana seems to have trouble catching the puck from long shots. Russell was very good in the Tim Jardine tourney. Cronier just shutout surrey. interesting though the goalie situation in BC.

Can someone give a list of the top ten PCAHA fwds and top ten dmen and top 5 goalies please? Much appreciated.

do the Bisons not play SSAC ,Leduc ,St.Albert,Sruce Grove? Those four teams definetly have some of the bigger, better D-MEN in the league

I think the Bisons would have problems if they had to play SSAC, Leduc or St. Albert's size on a reagular rotation. We'll see in St. Albert if any of them meet up.

Pretty sure no teams d are bigger than Royals, they are able to hold Bison's down in shots but Bison's still find a way to win with goals when required.
SSAC does have good D so if they meet it will be interesting, I think Bison's have already played St Albert (Abbotsford)?

Zach Gonek of St Albert is definately their best offensive defenseman but isn't as strong defensively. Thier top 'defensive' defenseman is likely Luke Mascotto which will make him one of the better ones in the league.

Agreed. I've watch them both play over the years and Zach is always trying to carry the puck himself. Problem is he gets caught deep and leaves his defensive partner to cover the subsequent 3-1 rush. Luke is usually paired with Zach for that reason.

Keep in mind that it's just a tournament and doesn't really give a clear cut best team. Last year the Bisons won only 1 game in st.albert but went on to win the league. Short tournaments with 2 games in 1 day are a crap shoot. Any team is capable of winning the St.Albert tournament
