Second Half Underway - Thursday Results

St. Albert Sabres 6 - Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 2
The Nitro North last place St. Albert Sabres move to 5-13-6 while dropping Fort Saskatchewan to 8-11-4 after a 6-2 win on Thursday night.  The Rangers hold a comfortable 13 point lead for the 4th and final playoff spot in the Charger North.  Leading the way for the Sabres was Jaedon Leslie with 2 goals and 2 assists, giving him 9-13-22 in 24 games which is just 2 points off the team lead.  Team scoring leader Zachary Webb scored his 7th and 8th goals of the season and D - Josh Mahura who is in the WEHP top 2 rounds picked up 1-1-2.  Brandon Hagel and Bailey Whelan scored the Fort Saskatchewan goals.  The goal for Hagel put him in a tie for the team lead in goals with 16 in 23 games.  Fort Saskatchewan held the shot advantage at 39-29.

Calgary Royals 10 - Red Deer Rebels White 5
The Royals scored 5 first period goals and double up the Rebels White in a wild 10-5 game in Red Deer on Thursday.  Leading the way for the Royals was Lucas Fraulin and D - Reece Soukoroff each with a pair of goals.  Fraulin now has 10 goals and 23 points while Soukoroff leads all Royals defenceman with 16 points now.  The Rebels White got a huge game from team scoring leader Tyler Steenbergen with 3 goals and 2 assists.  Steenbergen now has 27 goals and 18 assists in 22 games.  The next best offensive totals on Red Deer are 18 points.  The Royals out-shot the Rebels White 68-38.

Winnipeg AAA Action
Winnipeg Monarchs 5 - Central Plains 1
The league leading Winnipeg Monarchs move to 19-2-1 and drop the Central Plains Capitals to 1-17-1.  The Monarchs got goals from 5 different players including the league's scoring leader Dylan Thiessen scoring his 31st of the season.  Josh Curtis chipped in with 1-1-2.  Curtis is 5th in league scoring with 2 points.
