A couple weeks ago, WEHP was approached by a sports writer of the New York Times for a story they are doing pertaining to bantam hockey in western Canada. They will be making a stop in Melfort this Thursday to take in the North East Wolfpack practice and then will attend the North East Wolfpack/Sask Valley game on Friday night in Warman. It just so happens that the game on Friday night is for first place in the North Division of the SBAAHL.
They may also be stops in Medicine Hat and Camrose on the tour as we've been trying to set them up at those locations for various reasons.
Good publicity for bantam hockey in western Canada and very exciting for all involved!
