Wednesday Late.....Score updates

Saskatchewan
Balgonie 6 - Weyburn 2
In a re-match of the Prince Albert semi-final in which the Prairie Storm won, they once again were able to defeat Weyburn, this time by a score of 6-2.  The game was 2-0 heading in to the 3rd period on goals by Halbgewachs and 98 born D- Jeff Faith.  Balgonie would quickly double their lead with a couple quick 3rd period markers by James Piller and the red hot Matthew Wass.  From there the teams would trade a pair of goals each in a penalty filled 3rd period.  Jayden Halbgewachs would finish the night with 2 goals, which pased the Balgonie attack.  The talented winger now has 25-15-40 in 11 games.

Prince Albert 5 - North East Wolfpack 5
In Melfort, Matthew Campese would score with just 12 seconds remaining to gain a point for a very hard working Prince Albert squad on this night.  Reed Gunville and Matthew Campese once again led the way for the Prince Albert Jr. Raiders with 2 goals each.  Campese and Gunville are both in the top 6 in scoring with 29 and 26 points respectively.  Recently the line-mates have been playing on separate lines to help spread around the scoring a bit.  It seems to have worked in recent games.  North East continued to be without one of, if not their top player in Caleb Seaman who should be back after xmas.  While D- Bryce Fiske sat out his one game suspension for a fight near the end of their Saturday night quarter-final battle with Weyburn.

GSHL Results from Tuesday
Saskatoon Outlaws 5 - Saskatoon Maniacs 3
Saskatoon Frostbite 4 - Saskatoon Stallions 3

Alberta
Calgary Bisons 8 - Calgary Northstar Sabres 3
The Bisons had one of their offensive explosions as they seem to have slowly got their game back after a bit of a slump during and after the Medicine Hat tournament.  Braylon Shmyr led the way with 3 goals and his partner in crime - Nick Merkley with 2-2-4 in the game.  For the Northstar Sabres, Jordan Xavier had a three point night.  Bisons D- Kobe Eagletail took a 5 min major for Cross Checking in the 3rd period so we'll see what comes of that in terms of further penalty perhaps.

Calgary Royals 9 - Calgary Bronks 2
In what was to be said as an "out of control game" last night, the Royals would cruise to a 9-3 victory.  The Bronks were short-handed for the final 14 minutes of the 3rd, half of which were 5 on 3 play.  Rohl, Allen and Ferguson would score 2 each for the Royals.  Cameron Anklewich, the captain of the Royals picked up 3 helpers.  The Bronks got goals from Elynuik and Whitby.

British Columbia
Cloverdale 9 - Burnaby Minor 0

Cloverdale beat Burnaby Minor, 9-0. Maggio didn't face many shots on net. Around 5-10 shots maybe.

Seafair beat Chilliwack 5-1 looked like Sefair was suffering from a tournament win hangover ...

Anonymous said...

Seto was rippping it up

PCAHA should move CHWK down!! Also look at BBY. LGLY is at least putting up a fight most nights..Would be much better league with only 8-9 teams!!
Do not move up anymore cannon fodder from Flight 2!!

Seto had a surprising 1 goal yesterday against Burnanby Minor. Tyler Fyfe was the only one who got the Hat Trick.

Chilliwack is currently playing with five of their players out (cucussion and injurries)

Seafair struggles with playing to the other teams ability or level, some of the key players play up or down and that effects the outcome.

We must remeber these are 13 and 14 boys here, its just a fact of life (and I am assuming many of the big named POE players played Seafair the same way).

Seto is a strong and skilled power forward player that shoots at every opportunity but in no way leading the league

Royals v Bisons. By my count 6 mins penalties vs 67 mins penalties (counting 3 GMs @ 10 min). I was not there. Did Bronks just lose it or was reffing an issue? From afar looks like a gong show, but good disipline by Royals.

Cloverdale was missing underrated prospect Dylan McCann too

Cloverdale played good yesterday. Seto had 1 goal, Soy was an assist machine, and Fyfe got the Hat-Trick. Cloverdale's goalie played good.

Why didn't Cloverdale write about their loses to the BIG 2? NSWC and BWC? Instead they write about who they romp over, frankly nobody cares who they beat if they can't beat the TOP 2 or 3...... Simply put PCAHA has 3 groupings...... NSWC, BWC and SEMI...... THEN Seafair, CLOVERDALE..... THEN the rest!

10:33

Cloverdale is better than Seafair, shouldnt be an arguement about that

Anonymous said...

re 729am
not agree.if cloverdale have more superstars than every team. they still can't beat nswc, bwc,sem and seafair.thay haven't beat bwc since last season.
agree with 10:33

Cloverdale 5-3 lose to NSWC,and 4-2 lose BWC .Both games could gone either way.5-3 game, they were up 3-2 6min's to go.Then they took DUMB penalties and that was game.If they don't beat SEMI on sat, you're right they should stop posting there 10-0 or 9-0 win's against weaker teams.

Anonymous said...

if cloverdale better than seafair then why did they go up 2 to 0 in the first few minutes of the first yet still lose their game against them...good teams find ways to win....and not lose!

Anonymous said...

Cloverdale can beat Semi! Cloverdale will control that game on Saturday, don't understand how Semi is ranked higher than Cloverdale.

Anonymous said...

Cloverdale and Seafair will be grouped with NWSC and Semi at the Christmas tournament.

3 full time 20 minute periods.

No sissy points

Are you talking about their last game between Clov and Semi? Because i'm sure the score was 2-2. I remember that Semi scored their tieng goal from behind the net.

NSWC trailed 1-0 for the first period vs Seafair today but NSWC caught some lucky bounces and ended up winning 3-1 final.

Not a bad final for the first ranked team NSWC vs the ninth ranked team Seafair.

Seafair is starting to gain some respect in BC from a certain private club and other top competitors.

Respectable final Tier 1 score between two top 10 ranked teams

Clov beat Semi, 5-3. What can you say about Cloverdale now???

Anonymous said...

Bwc over NSwc 5-1 tonite - says it all

Anonymous said...

re:246
just like 1146 said. this game could gone either way.5:3. semi just didn't play a good game.only beat semi once. how about nswc and bwc

Anonymous said...

Semi couldn't handle Seto.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to BWC with a win, maybe we should call it a season

BWC and Cloverdale are the top teams in their own minds and at any given time can get upset by the weak and mild

I am glad the season is longer then a couple weeks

Hope both super teams will stay healthy

Anonymous said...

what can we say about cloverdale? well we can say they lost to seattle 9-4

Anonymous said...

Wow...Cloverdale loses 9-4 to Seattle. Good for Seattle shows you how compettive PCAHA Tier 1 is becoming. Should only increase as the year moves on. Cloverdale ranked 6th in western Canada by this site is 6-4 in league play!! You better come to play every night!!

coaching is to blame for the lose. They were down 3-0 in the first 5 minute's of the game.Maggio should have been pulled after 3 goals ? I am sorry to say, It all come's down to coaching.

OHA outscored opposition 20-2 this weekend in two OMAHA games. Will play Sherwood Park in the opening game of the OEHA Event on the 27th. SHould be a good matchup.

Anonymous said...

The Colts, I think, only had 1 of their Full-Time coaches. 2 of them werent there.

Anonymous said...

Hey 7.04. Hopefully the 2 missing coaches didn't have any passport or immigration problems with us customs. That's a long trip to get spanked

Anonymous said...

Most teams only have one coach what an excuse! Just say we played poorly and we lost don't embarass yourself with such idiocy, kids have bad games and lose and other teams have good games and beat arguably better teams. That's hockey. Five games in Five nights? When they play tournys they play five in three days, they don't travel, they are 14, embarassing! Just say we lost we will get them next time.

Anonymous said...

OHA vs Sherwood park should be a good game , I will say this , OHA better be ready has the park is a good team from up north . If OHA can come out on top it will help them for next yr getting in the top tourneys , good luck to both

agree with 1104pm.when u lost some game just try to play better next time. if u win some game u don't need to say because a few player is very good. other team can't handle him. must be everyone play a good game. hockey is a team work sports. not only someone is good.

Anonymous said...

How did Abby do against NSWC

Anonymous said...

Why don't they play 3 full time 20 minute periods in PCAHA?

Get rid of the sportsmanship point

Have a real playoff best of 3 And scrap final four round robin

Let the best team prevail.

Cloverdale loss to SnoKings was not a good game - hangover from beating Semi maybe !!. Team did not come out to play - stop blaming coaches even if missing 2 etc and pulling goalie why???? using names "?" is just at bad just like a team hanging a goalie out to dry- however agree with how December 19, 2011 11:04 PM states just own up to a loss and get them next time - every team loses even the best of the best.
