  1. Here I go on my Royals rant (for record - my son is RoyalsAA, not AAA,so my son is not impacted by these rankings).

Royals beat Northstars yesterday for 3rd time this year. They have won 2 tourneys, with only Cgy one being sifnificant. They have also beaten Buffs 1 of 2 games. If this ranking is strength of play based, how is it possible Northstars are rated higher than Royals?

  2. The Northstars are better then the Royals. Thats why.

  3. It is true that you beat the Northstarts for the 3rd time this year. Congrats! However, those are the only losses this year for the Northstars. They have beat all of the teams that the Royals have lost to this year in league play, likely one of the reasons for the higher ranking.

  4. 12:23
They have sure proved that in the 3 meetings versus Royals this year....I dont think so.

  5. I can see why you might say that the Northstars are better, but the Royals have a very impressive record against the teams in this weeks rankings. 7 wins and 2 losses makes pretty good case for them a little more recognition.

  6. Royals have beat the Bisons, Sherwood Park, OHA and a strong Monarchs team. Not to mention the Flames, the NE and Medicine Hat.

As long as they are recognized as a top 15 team, that should suffice.

I'm thinking notwithstanding a 3-5 game series where the top couple ranked teams would likely emerge victorious, any one of these top 15 could beat each other on any given night. See Royals 3 vs Bisons 1 then Bisons 6 vs Royals 3. Same record as BWC vs Bisons.

  7. Any given team. You obviously are dreaming. Listen...the Royals don't have the bench strength versus a BWC, ND, and Bisons. The truth is a painful pill to swallow. Now go away please.

  8. What was the score in the Langley vs BWC game yesterday?

Has everyone's Christmas wishes been granted with silencing of their valley cow calling bells?

This is the real season hockey folks,
will Langley's blogger post their top players minus stats?

just asking because we know there is a truck load of excuses coming ,

    stay tuned,

  9. BWC won 4-0 40-17 shots for BWC. 99 born beck warm with shutout

  10. Langley V BWC was not even close.
Puck was in Langley end for 3/4 of the game

    ReplyDelete
  11. Langley was tired and missing a few players. Not our best game, but considering we played 6 games over the weekend and BWC has not played since Med Hat.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Half of Langleys team inc. Malm
    and Lansdel did not play

  13. So BWC guy with the 5:24am post

Royals guy makes a complimentary post regarding all these top 15 teams. Even suggested the top 4 would win a multi game series with the others on the list, which includes the Royals

And you come back with an ignorant comment. Why?

    Fact: Royals beat Bisons once
    Fact: Royals beat OHA once
    Fact: OHA beat BWC once
    Fact: Bisons beat BWC once
Fact: BWC and Bisons will win 95% of their games but you can't ignor the above facts

    Many questions for you

What painful truths do we need to swallow as fans of Bantam AAA hockey? What point are the rest of us missing? Why must you bash others who share ideas?

if Tyler were to change the identity so people could not post Anonymous you would not have these types of comments and the negativity towards certain players. That post was uncalled for and had no point. A few parents have issues with certain players from even their own teams that is very obvious. They go out of their way to attack 14 year old. But would any of them say it directly to the kids, of course not. BTW The Royals should be up with the rest of the teams you mentioned.

  16. Boy seems the like the Royals get the same treatment as the OHA. OHA loses a game to the royals and they drop 5 spots and get trashed talked. The royals win a tournament and seem to be able to win games against some of the best teams, and the get trash talked.
    Why ?

  17. in the beginning this site was WEHP. the name should be changed to WAHP
Western All Hockey Players. instead of digging deeper ,you are widening the masses. Yes I will here don't like it don't read, and your correct.
I can get stats from anywhere.

  18. The Royals just won the Stanley Cup! They won, they won. Hip hip hooray. They beat the team that is ranked higher. Yeh. Time to move them into the top 5. I'm serious.

  19. I think Okotoks should at least be honorable mentions comming off that big tourny win against Edge.

  20. 506. I don't care. This entire discussion has focussed on how great the underdog Royals are and how underrated that club is. Get a life. Please. Come out to the west coast and see how we roll.
    BWC

  21. Royals beat Bisons 3-2 tonite.

  22. Royals beat Bison 3-2.....

Yet they are still in third place in the Challenger South division with an extra game played then the two teams in front of them.

Sorry, i agree with where they are in the rankings.

  23. ok ok enough with the Langley bashing. Plus getting sick of the Royals bashing. If they are doing well good for them! What's the harm in feeling good and being proud of your team?

I've been around enough games vs Langley and have NEVER seen cow bells. I do know a few BWC parents that have them! Those crazy BWC fans get so easily riled up....ooh you hit my kid....we're too good to be hit...how dare you big bad Langley. Thank goodness the BWC kids are tougher then all their whiny, wimpy, over involved parents.

Langley has always been an underdog team yet this BWC commenter seems to celebrate beating them like winning the Stanley Cup and have defeated their arch rivals? If Langley is so lowly and pathetic why do you feel its necessary to keep bashing them on this forum?

I haven't many (if any) comments from Langley bashing teams like we constantly see from BWC commenters. Based on these boards, BWC racking up the score against weaker teams, and my experience with both teams fans that Langley has way more class than BWC.

Don't like it...don't read it...I know but give us a break with the constant negative argumentative comments!

  24. royals are actually tied for second now and have beat bisons twice. And have beat northstars 3 out of 3 games this season and once in preseason. i dont think they should be moved up to 5-6 range but they have proved they can compete and should at least be up in the 7,8,9 team ranking range

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lets be honest the posts on here can be good and there is some good information.

But everyone can see through the post's where people try to pretend there from a certain team and take shots at other teams.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The royals have a goaltender. They showed up last night, the Bisons didn't. The Bison were missing 4 regulars, with 3 players "just back" from injury. And your point is what? Rankings smankings! Who cares?

    ReplyDelete
  27. BWC is on top. Everyone else is still chasing. The more things change ...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Is it just me, or do most of these comments add up to nothing more than a "pissing contest" between parents? Where a team is ranked on a certain blog (which I enjoy except for some comments)will have no bearing whether your kid gets drafted. You bashers and braggers are sounding terribly childish.

Enjoy your kids hockey for few more years while they are kids.

I don't know why people assume all posts here are from parents. I guess people think teens don't have computers and smart phones. The only reason I know of this site is because all the team members follow it.

I think, if it sounds Juvenile probably it is...

  30. We've also played Langley this year and have never seen any horrid behaviour from their fans. And have not seen a cow bell. Your experience with Langley parents may be from the past and maybe you should let go of that.

  31. Ha Ha love the kid who said Okotoks. Maybe next year when the 99's develop
