  2. Well maybe you Parents should not call kids fat or put them down. They are only kids, and would guess 99 percent of commentors are Parents. Keep the comments classy and maybe they would not remove them. Stop living your dreams through your kids.

  4. WEHP,

I think the site your running is a great way to keep up with information about hockey across western Canada. However I don't like the fact that parents are the ones taking advantage of this site. I would find it much more interesting if discussions that took place were between scouts rather then parents, the ones who's decisions actually affect the draft. Just a suggestion.

    Thanks

  7. After a poor showing at the John Reid tournament, St. Albert looks to be back on track with a convincing 5-2 victory over KC last night. The boys fore-checked hard and didn’t take their foot off the gas, was in total control for most of the game. Also I have a new respect for Zack Gonek and how tough he is. The big defenseman for KC Keenan Shaw absolutely crushed Zack with what has to be the biggest open ice hit I have seen this season. I expected Zack to be injured or that he would be done for the game. Zack immediately popped up and finished the shift and the game. Will be interesting to see where he goes in the draft.

  8. Because he took a big hit?

  9. I would assume he meant that Gonek is durable. Everyone gets hit hard once in a while, not everyone can handle it.

  10. Able to be open-iced as a positive for getting drafted? That is definitely one of the strangest things I have heard on these parent comment sites...

  11. 5-2 win over the 2nd last team in the AMBHL north is not what I would call back on track as I don't think they were off to begin with. KC is week team with as few topend forwards and lucky for them their goalies like lots of work as the D seem to give up a ton of shots.

  12. yay Kamloops! NOT an ACADAMY or a REGIONAL TEAM, but just a minor hockey team playing 3 lines of boys with a deep commitment to compete!! BC does not have Bantam Regional teams and still manage to be thick in the mix. This says a LOT for the minor hockey in these towns. PS Disagreement doesn't mean rejection !-)

  13. On the open ice hit...looks like yet another "plug" for the Shaw boy not so much about Gonek being able to take the "biggest open ice hit of the season". Pretty soon the whole KC team will be getting drafted.
